Nina had wandered too far away from the rest of the group; continuing to trudge further south through the thick woods was her only hope of ever finding a way out.

Exhausted, she noticed the dark silhouette of a cottage in the fading daylight…yes, she thought, perhaps I could rest her for a while.

Nina was overjoyed to hear a multitude of voices coming from within, so she knocked on the door—it was answered by a girl whose lips were red as roses, hair black as ebony, and skin white as snow.

A BEAUTIFUL MISTAKE: My Entry for Sonya’s Three Line Tales Challenge #294

Though the scene depicted was very realistic, the painter wasn’t too satisfied with his current piece; it seemed to lack something.

So he got up to take a break and decided to figure it out later, unknowingly toppling a bottle of purple paint in the process.

When he returned, he found that the cloudy sky and still water in his painting were stained purple; he jumped in joy—it was perhaps the most beautiful mistake he’d ever made.

Stan clutched his travel bag, awestruck at the sheer majesty of the iconic site of Giza.

The golden desert sand, the colourful cloths on the camels’ backs, the giant pyramids rising high amidst a mystical summer haze—a very Indiana Jones-esque sight indeed!

He could tell he was in for an adventure of a lifetime; his mind’s camera captured these details more vividly than any other camera could, ones that his children and grandchildren enjoy hearing over and over again.
